Successful Entrepreneur
I founded Northwest Software Technologies, Inc. in 1985, a computer consulting and software development corporation I held privately until 2017. The company specialized in event fundraising management software for nonprofit and educational organizations. I oversaw day-to-day operations, managed finances, handled national and international site licensing, and contributed directly to application design, production, and end-user support. After 32 years of sustained success, I sold the company in December 2017 to another private software firm. The terms of the sale remain confidential per agreement.
My second venture, The Development Den Northwest, Inc., was established in late 2020 to provide technical writing and technology consulting services. I design and deploy technology solutions that help nonprofit and for-profit organizations achieve both immediate results and long-term growth. All independent 1099 contract work I perform is billed through The Development Den to ensure proper handling of federal and state taxes for all funds received. -
Pioneering Developer
I pioneered commercial event fundraising software for nonprofit organizations, including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(9) entities across North America and the Pacific. I developed, published, and supported applications for benefit auctions, banquets, and tournament fundraisers, helping organizations raise more than $5 billion for charitable causes over 25 years. Being first to market, I helped shape the tools that countless nonprofits rely on today to plan and execute successful fundraising events.
